Quality & confidentiality
Recordings often carry sensitive content — a deposition, a medical dictation, a confidential interview. Access to your audio or video is limited to the transcriber assigned to your job, and files are retained only as long as completing and invoicing your order requires.
Verbatim vs clean-read, decided upfront, not after
Most buyers don't know transcription has two distinct products until they've already been quoted one and expected the other. Verbatim keeps every "um," false start, repetition and crosstalk marker — it's what a court or a conversation-analysis researcher needs, because the disfluencies themselves are data. Clean-read removes the filler and smooths grammar into readable sentences — it's what most interview write-ups, podcast show notes or meeting minutes actually need.
Neither is "better" — they're different jobs. We make you choose upfront, in the purchase module, at the same published per-minute rate, rather than letting it become a surprise variable that changes your price after the file's already been reviewed.

Which should I choose, verbatim or clean-read?
If this is for legal use, linguistic research, or anywhere the exact wording and pauses matter, choose verbatim. For an interview write-up, show notes or minutes, clean-read is almost always what you actually want. If you're not sure, tell us the use and we'll recommend one.
Can you transcribe poor-quality audio?
Often, yes — send a short sample and we'll confirm feasibility and flag any sections likely to be marked "inaudible" before you order.
Do you provide timestamps?
Yes, on request, at a regular interval (e.g. every 30 seconds or at each speaker change) — mention it when you order.
